Hio Tong Kuan is a doctoral student currently studying applied social psychology. She completed her master's degree in experimental general psychology (specialization in social psychology) at California State University, San Bernardino. Hio Tong continues her research training in social psychology at the University of Windsor, with a focus on applying feminist frameworks and social theories in her research on women's health and their intersecting social identities. She is working with Dr. Soucie in a mixed-method study on resilience in navigating social stigmas and expectations on gender, sexual, and body expressions in individuals with PCOS.
